About the Artwork: Venus Blindfolding Cupid
Created between 1560 and 1565, this late-period work by Titian showcases his mature style, characterized by rich brushstrokes and vibrant lighting effects. The scene depicts a mythological—not religious—subject: a female figure blindfolding a winged putto, accompanied by another cherub and two women, possibly nymphs, holding a bow and quiver.
This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience Renaissance art up close, in a setting that celebrates both cultural heritage and artistic excellence.
