Value chain

FOMAS Group’s sustainability strategy is based on the engagement of its value chain. The choice and selection is based on objective assessments according to the principles of fairness, integrity, discipline, quality, innovation, continuity and ethics.

The collaboration is then defined and introduced into our policies and procedures, and supported by continuous communication with partners and suppliers, with the aim of monitoring the manufacturing practices and processes, and above all, constantly improving in terms of sustainable goals.

We supervise and regulate the entire supply chain in an ethical and preventive manner: for example, we require certified conflict minerals and respect for universal human rights.

The requirements and obligations are stated in our Policies, General Conditions and Product Family Specifications, Technical Regulations and Code of Ethics.
All stakeholders are clearly informed about the obligations to be ensured and managed. They are also accompanied by a step-by-step progress monitoring and analysis against the set targets.

A rigorous risk analysis, supported by a KPI system, allows us to reinforce and structure our supply chain.
For the purpose of creating synergy and shared growth, we promote cooperation and improvement plans that can also positively impact our partners.

FOMAS Group has a defined process to evaluate suppliers and monitor their performance, through a formal procedure and through regularly updating and monitoring targets and indicators. Evaluations and responses to supplier performance improvement plans are then collected and analysed against corporate objectives.

Responsible Supply and Transparency

All material which has been sourced is also carefully analysed in terms of its origin. We have actually implemented a policy to ensure that none of the required materials are supplied in breach of the legal provisions on the supply of conflict minerals from the listed countries, following OECD and European guidelines.

“Conflict minerals” are understood to mean those metals, such as tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, mined under exploitative conditions and in breach of human rights, the trade in which could directly or indirectly finance the purchase of weapons used in war zones.

Our goal

FOMAS Group’s commitment for promoting a sustainable change aims to involve the overall supply chain, starting with the definition of ESG benchmarks in our supplier assessment.
This allows us to track sustainable practices and establish a minimum ESG score for suppliers to encourage a more sustainable and responsible behaviour.
