FOMAS Group is proud to announce the launch of the “Mastering the Science of Metals” call for artists within the Business For Art Special Award, in partnership with Arte Laguna Prize and MoCA – Modern and Contemporary Art.
This initiative marks a significant milestone as the Group celebrates 70 years of history, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to supporting the arts and culture as powerful instruments to inspire people and unite communities.
A Dialogue Between Art and Metallurgy
Through this award, FOMAS Group invites artists to interpret the theme “Mastering the Science of Metals”.
Participants are encouraged to explore the transformative journey of steel as it moves from hot to cold, capturing the suspended moment in which matter changes its state. The theme calls for a visual reflection on metamorphosis — where energy becomes surface, liquid becomes solid, and motion becomes stillness.

Applications for the FOMAS Group Special Award are open until June 1, 2026.
After this date, submissions will no longer be accepted.
