Our 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives in India
In 2024, FOMAS Group's Corporate Social Responsibility activities in India prioritized the welfare of children and promoted overall wellbeing through a range of impactful initiatives:
Empowering Education
Two multipurpose buildings were constructed for local schools near our Indian facility. These spaces provide safe environments for children and teachers to enjoy meals and serve as community meeting hubs. The joy on the children’s faces was a powerful reminder of the impact we are making.
Healthcare Accessibility
In collaboration with Kauvery Hospital Alwarpet and the Rotary Club of Madras North, we launched the Mobile Wellness Clinic to address healthcare access gaps for underserved communities in and around Chennai. This clinic, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and specialized services, is expected to benefit over 100,000 people.
For 2025 the health mobile clinic will visit the local villages near our production plant.
Multi-specialty Medical Camp
A medical camp was hosted at our facility to address health challenges in the local community. While we expected higher attendance than in previous years, we encountered a significant challenge: raising awareness about the importance of health. Many rural residents prioritize earning a daily wage over attending health screenings, even when offered free of charge.
This highlights the need for better communication and a pragmatic approach to health education in our future initiatives. It is a humbling reminder of how fortunate we are and the importance of our continued efforts.
Community Support
Continuing our commitment to local development, we donated three new houses to a nearby village supported by last year’s reverse osmosis water plant project.
These initiatives reflect our dedication to creating a positive and lasting impact. We remain committed to driving meaningful change in 2025 and beyond.
