FOMAS Group Supports Lecco Film Fest 2026: Promoting Culture, Art and Young Talent
In 2026, FOMAS Group renewed its commitment to culture and the arts by supporting Lecco Film Fest, held from 2 to 5 July.
Now in its seventh edition, the Festival chose the Canticle of the Creatures as its guiding theme, commemorating the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi. Through cinema, dialogue and cultural reflection, the event offered an opportunity to explore contemporary issues while celebrating the value of artistic expression.
Founded in 2020, Lecco Film Fest is a cultural and film event promoted by Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio and organized by Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo.
The programme included meetings with leading figures from the film industry, screenings introduced by directors and cast members, masterclasses and a training course dedicated to students. While the theme changes every year, the Festival maintains a strong focus on the female perspective, offering a cross-cutting interpretation of contemporary phenomena in dialogue with Italian cinema.
In 2026, the Lucia Award, dedicated to female talent in cinema, was presented to Alba Rohrwacher, Olivia Musini and Anna Di Francisca.
Alongside its cultural programme, the Festival further strengthened its educational mission through three initiatives dedicated to young people. Opera Prima involved high school students in a screenwriting journey. Nuovi Talenti Lab offered free training to directors under 35, with workshops and opportunities to meet film producers. Finally, Sguardi in Formazione, developed in collaboration with Regione Lombardia, supported young people aged 15 to 35 experiencing social fragility, introducing them to cinema professions and promoting their access to the world of work.

This support reflects the Group’s belief that culture and education play a key role in building stronger, more inclusive and more aware communities.
