Thursday, December 23, 2021

Usually during festive time, FOMAS Group supports one or more projects that will bring relief to those in need in our communities. For 2021 festive, FOMAS Group decided to support the UN on a climate action project in India: GHG abatement through Solar Power Generation at Jaisalmer.

Our commitment to integrate ESG factors into our daily activities will be our goal in the upcoming months. Never as before, we are facing such an important challenge for the planet.

Precision Technik Private Limited has developed a 5 MW grid connected solar photovoltaic power project in Nokh Village, Pokhran. Tehsil in Jaisalmer District in the State of Rajasthan in Western India. The project activity is expected to supply 8,322 MWh of net electricity annually to the national grid of India (NEWNE).

In the absence of the project activity, the equivalent amount of electricity would have been generated in the NEWNE grid, which is predominantly a fossil fuel dominated grid.

The project is rewarded with Certified Emission Reductions, a type of carbon offset measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent. FOMAS Group has led to cancel 150 CERs, equivalent to 150 tonnes of CO2.
