FOMAS SPA is pleased to announce that it has signed the Manifesto "Enterprises for People and Society", the text aimed at companies and drafted by the UN Global Compact Network Italy, local network of the United Nations Global Compact, the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world.
By signing the Manifesto, FOMAS is committed to strengthening the role of the Social dimension in its business strategies to generate long-term value also in the supply chain and in the communities in which it operates. The Manifesto is available at this link.
The United Nations Global Compact is a special initiative of the UN Secretary-General that has a mandate to guide and support the global business community in promoting the goals and values of the United Nations through responsible business practices. With more than 20,000 companies and more than 3,000 nonprofit signatories based in 162 countries and 69 local networks, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world.
The United Nations Global Compact operates in Italy through the UN Global Compact Network Italy (UNGCN Italia), an organization established as a Foundation in 2013 after ten years of activity as an informal group. The Italian Network works above all to promote the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles through institutional dialogue, the production of knowledge and the dissemination of good sustainability practices. It is also committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations for 2030. Over 600 Italian companies and non-profit organizations participate in the UN Global Compact.

FOMAS SPA è lieta di annunciare di aver firmato il Manifesto “Imprese per le Persone e la Società”, il testo rivolto alle aziende e redatto dall’UN Global Compact Network Italia, rete locale del Global Compact delle Nazioni Unite, la più grande iniziativa di sostenibilità d’impresa al mondo.
Con la firma al Manifesto, FOMAS si impegna a rafforzare il ruolo della dimensione Sociale nelle sue strategie aziendali per generare valore a lungo termine anche nella catena di fornitura e nelle comunità in cui opera. Il Manifesto è disponibile qui.
Il Global Compact delle Nazioni Unite è un’iniziativa speciale del Segretario Generale delle Nazioni Unite che ha il mandato di guidare e sostenere la comunità imprenditoriale globale nel promuovere gli obiettivi e i valori delle Nazioni Unite attraverso pratiche aziendali responsabili. Con più di 20.000 aziende e oltre 3.000 firmatari non profit con sede in 162 paesi e 69 reti locali, l’UN Global Compact è la più grande iniziativa di sostenibilità aziendale nel mondo.
